Time Calculator
This calculator finds the difference between two times, showing the result in both hours-and-minutes format and as a decimal number of hours. It is particularly useful for tracking work hours, calculating overtime, or determining how long a journey or event will take.
Work Time Tracking
In Denmark, the standard full-time work week is 37 hours, typically spread across five days. Many employees track their start and end times to calculate daily hours. If you start at 8:30 and finish at 17:15, this calculator quickly tells you that you have worked 8 hours and 45 minutes, or 8.75 hours in decimal format — useful for timesheet reporting.
Decimal Hours
Many payroll systems and project management tools use decimal hours rather than hours and minutes. In decimal format, 30 minutes is 0.5, 15 minutes is 0.25, and 45 minutes is 0.75. This calculator provides both formats so you can use whichever your system requires. For flex-time (flekstid) tracking, which is common in Danish workplaces, the decimal format makes it easier to add up hours across the week.
