Calculate filler

Our filler calculator helps you determine the right amount. Consumption varies between spot filling and full skim coating.

Spot filling vs. full skim

Spot filling repairs holes and cracks – about 0.3 kg/m². Full skim smooths the entire surface – about 1.0 kg/m².

Filler types

Plaster filler (powder) is mixed with water for plasterboard. Ready-mixed filler is ready to use. Lightweight filler is easier to sand.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much filler per m²?

Spot filling: about 0.3 kg/m². Full skim: about 1.0 kg/m². For very uneven walls, consumption can reach 1.5-2.0 kg/m².

Should I sand between coats?

Yes, always lightly sand between coats with 120-180 grit sandpaper. Remove dust with a damp cloth before the next coat. This ensures better adhesion and a smoother finish. Final coat should be sanded with finer grit (180-240) before painting.

What is the difference between gypsum and acrylic filler?

Gypsum filler (powder) is mixed with water, sets quickly and is hard. Ideal for plasterboard and larger repairs. Acrylic filler (ready-mixed) is more flexible, dries slower and is easier to sand. Best for small repairs and finishing.
